Sweet and innocent
Just a quick mention of a blog I just added to my blogroll. The Innocent drinks company was founded in 1998 when a couple of friends who were a bit edgy about giving up their jobs to make smoothies, decided to buy £500 worth of fruit to make some fruit juices and sell them to the public at a small music festival in London. They put out two bins, one with yes on and one with no on and the question “Do you think we should give up our jobs and make these smoothies?” The yes bin was so overflowing by the end of the day that they quit their jobs the next day.
Not only are their smoothies, thickies and juicy waters lovely, they are made of nothing but fruit and not from concentrate. They also try, where possible, to use ethically sourced fruit, recycled materials, and invest in charities.
I came across them a few years ago. They are a very approachable company, and encourage you to contact them. I have emailed them in the past and they have responded and even showed a picture Graeme took with his camera phone of their billboard on a London bus, in their morning meeting. Their smoothies are in most coffee shops and supermarkets, check them out.

They do fantastic smoothies for kids. I get them for Devin all the time.
